Lecture by Win Perry: “What’s Happening at the John Green House?”

This program has been postponed until September 23rd, 2020.

Win Perry, retired architect and current President of both the
Historical Society of the Nyacks and the John Green Preservation
Coalition, will give an illustrated talk about the progress to date
on the rehabilitation of the John Green House on lower Main Street in Nyack. This lecture will be Wednesday, September 23rd, at 2 p.m. at the Tappan Library.

Mr. Perry will speak about the work that remains and plans for its eventual
use. He will also tell the story of Captain John Green, early 19th
Century transportation pioneer and community builder.

A native Nyacker and a descendant of the early settlers of the
community, Win Perry led the efforts of a group of volunteers who
restored the Hopper House in the 1970s.  He now devotes his
dedication and expertise to one of Nyack’s oldest buildings, the John
Green House on lower Main Street.

Wednesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. at the Tappan Library, 93 Main St, Tappan, NY 10983
